Melissa Healey will be the guest instructor for the first part of class on March 16th. A Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, she will guide actors through a series of vocal exercises.
Melissa is on the acting faculty at Emerson College, teaches in the actor training programs at Shakespeare & Company, and works privately with students. She also leads workshops and ongoing classes at theatre companies including Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Actor’s Shakespeare Project, New Repertory Theatre, Lyric Stage Company, Stoneham Theatre, and Wheelock Family Theatre. She has previously taught in the Music Performance Department of The Boston Conservatory. As an actor, Melissa has performed at such companies as Gloucester Stage Company and New Repertory Theatre. Melissa is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association, and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. Her most influential training has been from her extensive and continuing study with world-renowned voice teacher, Kristin Linklater.
